rest. work. rest.
Rhythms of Grace
matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life.
I'll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

beat #2 - jasmine (Saturday, January 7, 2012 / 9:42 AM)

this morning i woke up and my heart was bitter.

my silence, is often indicative of a chaotic head.

i said to God, 'i can't talk today, my heart is full of thorns and i'm afraid i'll hurt everyone. i am bitter and tired, conflicted and angry.'

He said, 'i can take it'
and i saw all the thorns on Jesus' head as my heart went still and my mind, silent.

drip drip drip
goes the rhythm of grace
today.
