rest. work. rest.
Rhythms of Grace
matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life.
I'll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

beat #4 - jasmine (Thursday, January 19, 2012 / 8:11 AM)

Bob Dylan said, "Behind every beautiful thing, there's some kind of pain."

i am thinking of the most beautiful thing i know,
grace that comes from faith in Jesus Christ.

Bob Dylan spoke truth.

behind that grace,
is the worst pain i'll never have to know.

there are certain things in life that awe me into quiet,
a quiet in my chest, in my head, behind my lips.
all quiet.

except for the resounding thud of gratitude for amazing grace.
