rest. work. rest.
Rhythms of Grace
matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life.
I'll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

My words are simple
on the surface they may seem meaningless
sometimes they are...

rhythms means that something you thought was gone forever
weaves its way quietly back into your vision again.

or at least, it was following the whole time.
just at a different part of the curve...
or oscillating in spaces created by the curves we are steadily tracking.

shall i keep the faith and hope?
that we will follow the curves back to a place like where we started?

i believe in spirals, not circles and i know we are always moving forward \
but still,
it is hard to see when the road keeps bending.

perhaps like the words in this blog, i am only hearing the echoes of my anxiety,
and the truth is we are all just oscillating at different frequencies.

maybe we don't know it yet but our struggles are weaving perfect harmonies
of grace for an audience we cannot see.
